Im trying to find cheap T1 fits of pure caldari origin.
My biggest problem is that i have not trained a single skill in gunnery except weapon upgrades and AWU. I do have really good ECM and missile skills. I have flown alot of griffins but i am looking to hopefully find something more. I guess since i only use missiles i am stuck with kessies and condors. Any speciffic fits i should look into? |

Thanks for the info but i am not going too. Turret based combat does not interest me at all. That is exactly why i went the ECM route so that when i can't spew missiles i can fly a jammer. |

Sui'Djin wrote:it depends on what you want to do. Caracals are cheap, too. If you want to limit youself to frigs things get hard with missiles. the hookbill is definitively worth a try, a pretty good ship that can be a bargain if you buy it with your LP at tier 4 warzone control.
But besides that htere is only guns. Training hybrid guns also opens the door to gallente shiptypes.
I thought about a hookbill it looks like a little nasty missile boat. For some reason my heart always goes to the condor it is the ship i started doing combat with and for some unexplained reason i am attached to it. I figured with the new t1 frigate buffs that maybe it got some love. |

Theres a bayonet, a combat knife, using ur weapon as a club, theres tons of options open to you rather than picking up your enemies weapon.
Fast Foward into the future: I could just ram my ship into the enemy loaded with missile warheads. Or just simply ram them since i am immortal after all why not just use a practical means of destruction?
At the end of they day i will still just use missiles. Plus i just need something to hold me until CCP rebalances the kestrel in a sexi way. Hopefully it gets just as much love as the merlin did. Going with the new ship doctrine they are applying, bombardment ships, im sure will eventually be balanced enough to compete with turrets in fleet PVP or if they keep to the idea of "bombardment" your looking into a world of pain if those missiles do hit their mark. hopefully they gives more info on what the "bombardment" part of the rework is about rather than "yes, we are giving every race a missile ship!"

Anyway, I think you are still unwise for putting all your eggs in one basket.
You are right ofcourse, though it doesn't hurt to specialise a little, before spreading out to all other, options EVE has, eventualy you'll need to train other stuff as well, it's just good there is this one thing you can do rather well, when shopping for a corp for one.
Yeah i went the missile and ECM route. I was suprised to see i had more ECM skills than my friend whos been playing almost 4 years now. Im sure when i have all my missile skills to 5, my ECM skills to 5, and support skills ill branch out to something else. but for now its nothing but missile skills and it wont be changing anytime soon. |
